Chris Pease is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Restructuring and Insolvency practice in the BVI. Chris advises financial, banking and public sector clients in contentious cross-border matters covering multiple jurisdictions, including across Europe, Asia, the US and the Caribbean.
Prior to joining Harneys in 2017, Chris practised as a solicitor in London, most recently as a Managing Associate at Linklaters. In his UK practice Chris specialised in advising on complex and high value disputes as well as contentious regulatory matters; his practice spanned financial disputes, contractual disputes, civil fraud, asset recovery and internal investigations. Chris also advised on several settlement negotiations, including at mediation.
Chris was for many years lead associate on several complex claims arising out of a large-scale civil recovery program undertaken by the Attorney General of the Turks and Caicos Islands in the wake of a Commission of Inquiry into fraud and corruption concerning public officials. This entailed advising on claims for the recovery of land and cash as well as advising on related issues, including defending judicial review proceedings.
