Andreas Erotocritou joined Harneys’ Cyprus Litigation practice in 2013, continuing the expansion of the firm’s multi-jurisdictional Litigation practice.
Andreas specialises in various fields of commercial and corporate litigation and regularly appears before the district courts and Supreme Court in Cyprus, representing prominent local and international clients, mostly in disputes with an international dimension. He has vast experience in shareholders’ disputes, corporate fraud, injunctive relief, recognition and enforcement proceedings of foreign judgments/arbitral awards, as well as in insolvency and arbitration proceedings.
Recently, Andreas represented one of the largest integrated steel manufacturers in Asia and secured interim worldwide freezing injunction in aid of foreign arbitration proceedings. He has also recently acted as liquidator in cross-border insolvency proceedings.
Andreas is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Honourable Society of Middle Temple and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCiArb). Andreas is currently a lecturer at the Law Department of Frederick University in Cyprus and a consultant of his family law firm. In the past, Andreas has worked for Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP in London.
